Sutherland Hospital Redevelopment

The NSW Government has committed $62.9 million for the Sutherland Hospital Redevelopment project. The redevelopment will improve the quality of health care and enable efficiencies in the delivery of services within the hospital. A new and expanded emergency department and 60 new acute inpatient beds are the key features of the redevelopment of Sutherland Hospital.

The Lismore Base Hospital Redevelopment- Stage 3A delivered improved and expanded healthcare facilities and services to meet the needs of communities in Lismore and surrounding parts of northern NSW.

The Lachlan Health Service project includes the redevelopment of Parkes Hospital and the refurbishment of Forbes Hospital. Patients and staff moved in to the completed Parkes Hospital on 24 November 2015. The new hospital includes an emergency department, medical imaging, ambulatory care, inpatient units and birthing suites. Construction is progressing on the refurbishment of the Ambulatory Care and Renal units at Forbes, following completion of the new building in late 2015. The refurbishment works are the final component of the $40.9 million Forbes Hospital redevelopment, providing a more integrated health service for the Forbes community

Lismore Base Hospital Redevelopment - Stage 3B

In March 2015 the NSW Government announced $180 million towards Lismore Base Hospital’s Stage 3B redevelopment. Works being considered as part of the next stage include the expansion of critical care, operating theatres, maternity, new inpatient beds, medical imaging, paediatric beds and support areas. The project will also complete the relocation and consolidation of the community health and ambulatory care services, and provide enhanced teaching and education facilities.
